Every rhinestone garment is temporary unless you intervene. This is the intervening.
Buy the glue with the garment
Stones come off. Not maybe. Buying the right adhesive at the same time means the repair happens that evening, rather than the garment sitting in a drawer for a year.
A proper gem glue, not superglue, which yellows and goes brittle.
Cold, inside out, mesh bag, never the dryer
Heat kills the adhesive. Every time something has shed badly it was because it went through a warm cycle or a dryer.
Hang dry, always, even when it is inconvenient.
Store them flat and separated
Stones catch on knitwear and pull it. Anything heavily stoned gets its own flat layer, not a rail where it rubs against everything either side.
It is more maintenance than normal clothes. That is the deal you make.
